By virtue of flagging thousands of pieces of content each month to social media platforms, we often come across cases that are of particular interest. They might be an outrageous mistake by the platform, a particularly interesting emerging trend, or simply a case that makes us go “hmm…”.

Here is a non-exhaustive, subjective highlight reel of some cases that stood out for us.

Instagram

Comment explaining that the reason so many French people go to Marrakesh is to engage in pedophilia.

LinkedIn ruled that this post did not go against its policies.

YouTube

Extract from RT, a Russian state propaganda channel that has been banned from the EU for its role in supporting Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

EU legislation, as well as YouTube policy, prohibits RT content from being made accessible to EU audiences on the platform.

YouTube did not find that the content was against its rules or EU legislation.

One of dozens of deepfakes of legendary investor Warren Buffett’s voice, posted by a single channel that sells online courses. Warren Buffett’s company, Berkshire Hathaway, issued an official statement specifically warning users against this channel’s impersonated videos.
